BDP-2 and Multi-channel Audio
 

I recently imported three DTS-CDs using iTunes to aiff files. The CDs were DTS 5.1 from Herb Alpert and the other two from the Ohio players. when I played them back on the SP3 using the AES balance digital input, the files all played back 5.1. I was amazed to say the least. How convenient. :music: Did anyone else know this was possible?

My initial excitement with DTS-CD 5.1 has been tempered by the realization that there is compression that I can hear with my SP3. So DTS-CD while good, it does not represent the state of the art for surround; just SACD and DVD-A.
