I am not a good photographer, nor are these shots offered as "great shots." I just thought I would share the extent that technology can overcome an amateur. Cold out of the box, full auto, no real knowledge (yet) of the camera:

These were uploaded from the camera to my phone, so I have no idea how much resolution I am losing using that method.

I am working on a technique to take shots of Ivan's get-together and post them in real time.

I just logged back in on the laptop and it is clear that uploading to the phone has crushed the resolution.

Allegedly, the XT-1 will upload pictures directly to a computer as well as to a phone or tablet. So far I have not pulled that off (Finds router, does not find destination PC). To try it on yours go to 'menu" then "wrench 3 icon" then "connection" next to wi-fi icon then "PC auto save setting" and then choose either "simple" or "manual" as appropriate.

Having fought with it for a bit, I ordered an USB cable to download direct. :D

Edit: Found the problem. One must use the set-up CD Rom to establish your PC as a "Destination PC."

So easy, a... never mind :p
