iPhone App trending section is not updating
For the past couple of days, when I use the trending section of the iPhone app, I have discovered that it is not updating to show the latest posts, even if I drag it down to force an update. Basically, it looks as though there has been no posts to the forum since I reinstalled the app yesterday. Before that it was showing no posts for several days. My iPhone has the latest IOS installed and I am obviously using the latest app because the old app will no longer work with the current IOS. I have gone as far as deleting the app and then reinstall it, all that did was update the first six posts, but now they have been frozen ever since. Closing the app entirely also doesn't update it and neither did restarting my phone. The browse section however does update. For example, if I go to the McIntosh section, it shows the latest posts.

Is anyone else having this problem? The app worked perfectly up until about a week ago.

Yes -- when I logged in this morning, like several days ago, the first trending item is the Jensen or Mundorf coupling capacitor topic, followed by K1 ate a disk. I rarely use the iPhone app, but when I have, it was pretty good -- something is amiss now.
I'll PM the folks behind the curtain. Best Sir, Bob |
The Android app is working fine. Has there been an iOS update?

Anyone else with iPhone experiencing an issue?? Best Sir, Bob |
The Developer of our App is no longer in business. That means we will probably have to start from scratch again. :(

Bob.......No iPhone here, but I did just check my Audio Aficionado app on my iPad. It is working with no issues. No idea what is going on with the iPhone.

Lets' see what happens:eatndrink: Best Sir, Bob |
Reloaded the app, logged in and everything looks to be fine. Should have done that earlier, but when I saw Stahle have issues, I figured there was a missing handshake between a recent iOS upgrade and the current app.
Anyways, all is well. Best Sirs, Bob |
There is an option to clear the cache, you should try that too.

Click on the hamburger at the top of the screen, select “settings”, then find “Clear cache” under the “advanced” section.

Thank you, antonmb.

Got it
Thanks Tony, Best Sir, Bob |
Reloading the app somewhat fixed it but only for about the first twenty posts. After that, it tells me a post from last August was made 6 minutes ago. Clearing the cache did nothing. I’ll try reloading it one more time.

Reloading it again actually made it worse. The first post that comes up under trending is from three hours ago. Oh well, maybe the next IOS update will set it straight.

First let me just say I rarely use the app on my iPhone 6S; but, something is amiss.
When I'm not logged in on the app & also logged in, the trending tab is 3-5 days old. Not current. Additionally, when logged in, the participated tab, unread and timeline tabs are up to date with threads. So dunno, but anyways that's my experience. Wish others would take a peak and get myself and Stahle off the hook here so to speak. Best Sirs, Bob |
I mostly use the app on an iPad, but I typically only use the “Subscribed” and “Timeline” tabs. “Participated” seems redundant to me, since any time you post to a thread you’re subscribed to it, so those two tabs end up showing the same things. I can’t say I really understand the purpose of the “Trending” tab. I just browsed it and it seems to be all over the place, showing old posts in the middle of a thread.
I think this is all moot anyway, since Ivan has indicated the developer of the app is out of business or something, so there will be no updates, they’ll have to start over. My only suggestion is to just use the “Timeline” and “Subscribed” and give up on “Trending “ |

I’m using timeline now and it works for what I want. |
