Our visit to Colin (aka 'Tremayne') and Chris, August '17
Already a lot of years ago, we wanted to meet, but there was always something that came in the way.
Not this time! We spent a lovely couple of days, with sight-seeing, good food and drinks, and a lot of music. Colin and his wife, Chris live in the north of England. http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8010.jpg You could say they are the perfect hosts. We felt very welcome. http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...zeRender_4.jpg |

Nice overview of the city from the castle.

What brought us to Washington in the first place (the original Washington, we read on a sign board entering the town :D), was the music and AA!
This is Colin's system: http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...9-IMG_1847.jpg The heart of the system: The Devialet Pro 1000 twins, a Marantz Blu-ray player, and a Cable TV decoder. http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8099.jpg |
If I recall well, Colin made these himself:

Colin, you'll have to help me with the name of the sturdy rack.
The Devialets are tiny shiny things. http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8062.jpg http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8063.jpg http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8064.jpg http://www.metazahren.com/photograph...e/DSCF8090.jpg |

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Bart and Meta to the North East of England, at long last.
Hopefully you will visit us again, but for a longer stay next time. Bart, the rack is a Quadraspire X-Ref. |
