From what you and Dan have said about Sonus Faber, tubes seem to be a very special match with them. However, before the Fenice becomes reality, it would be very interesting to try the 1.2KW's on the Strads to be convinced that tubes are the way to go with speakers at that level from Sonus Faber. It would be great if, at the factory in Italy, the Fenice could easily be auditioned with both the SS and Tube electronics.
3 x 2301's or 3 x 2KW's or 3 x 1.2KW's for each speaker- how could one possibly go wrong?:scratch2:

3 x 2KW's isn't possible. It would require an additional 300+ Amps of service. My home already has 800 Amps, and residential isn't zoned for any more.

Only you could run into that limitation. :lmao:

Wonder if they were getting in trouble with Teatro de Fenice, perhaps?

Masterlu 10-11-2010 07:06 PM

I think they need to give it a name, quickly. ;)

It could be called The Speaker With No Name. An homage to Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western.
