 Thanks Tommy! Very cool...

I have tried some of those, but not all!

Nice!

Tommy thanks! That just about covers all the sites that I frequent. My favorites are High Def Tape Transfers and Linn Records for classical with HD Tracks running closely behind for Jazz/Blues/Rock.

FYI, recently many files have been revealed to be simply 16/44 up-samples! :yikes: Linn and HD Tracks have aggressively been removing the tracks/Labels that users have discovered. If you venture over to the Computer Audiophile site you will find several threads about this problem.

Dan I'm with you, but it still disappoints me none the less! Caveat Emptor!

As long as there's a buck to be made, it is buyer beware.

I appreciate Linn and HDtracks removing those up-sampled files. Makes me think they really care about the consumers and music quality.

jdandy 11-11-2010 04:09 PM

Tommy.......Yep, they cared so much they put them up and made their buck. They are taking them down because it became a public issue. "Caring so much" would be Linn refunding every single dollar to those individuals who downloaded and paid for something they did not receive. I don't think that will happen.
