Not cool, I need to go to Lima in about 2 weeks's time and will be landing on that one. Creepy!

These airport phenomena are increasing in locations and frequency. Could it be drones? Yes. I don't believe the military would be disturbing the airports and causing shutdowns for hours or even days as recently happened in the UK. In this case it seems it would be unlikely for a recreational drone of that size and for it to hover for an hour.

The recreational drones are not that large nor do they typically have batteries that can allow for an hour worth of flight. Plus everyone knows by now that if you fly a drone at the airport you will be in serious trouble.

So could it be visitors? Who knows but given that this has happened in many countries and many airports over the years, it seems they are unlikely to do anything other than observe and disappear.
