I heard the Alexia 2's at my local dealer and have to say ... Wow!!! My initial thought also like the reviewer almost suggested that they may in fact be better than Alexx ... my dealer quickly assured me that wasn't the case and that I wasn't remembering Alexx for all she's worth ... The Alexia 2's may well be the best dollar for dollar speaker I've ever heard. Definitely worth an audition.

George,

What was the supporting system?

D'Agostino Momentum Pre and Mono's ... Vivaldi Dac and upsampler and all transparent cabling. What I noticed the most from the series 1 to 2's was an incredible amount of what I'll call additional definition and clarity in voices and instruments. Images were absolutely 3D and solid unlike anything I've heard. I've heard the Alexx on the same setup and while amazing as well ... maybe more dynamic overall from what i remember the Alexx didn't have the same degree of absolute clarity that the new Alexia Series 2 does. Can we say Alexx series 2 anyone?

Alexia Series 2 Review

Listening to Monk and Coltrane play right now on the Alexia V2s and D'ag m400s. Spinning vinyl tonight and not the Digital rip-and loving it. Highly recommended speaker. V2 improvements are more than worth the cost to upgrade for me. Although I still think highly of the V1 which I believe is an even bigger bargain.

I'm actually glad about that ... give me a few years to get the rest of my system up to the level of Alexx 2's! :D

Thanks for posting this review.
Interesting that the low frequency extension as measured was -6 dB at 37 Hz.
