Older series Silver Eclipse vs newer series Eclipse?

So, I understand that moving up from one series(6 to 7 to 8) may offer better sound quality. But how would an older Silver Eclipse series, say 6, compare to a newer Eclipse series, say 7 or 8? Would the silver content of the Silver Eclipse 6 give it the edge over newer Eclipse? Just curious.

Am only guessing, but the orientation of the strands of wiring within the sheath on each successive generation likely has more to do with the difference in sound than a change in the wire. Have never seen nor heard WW advertise any difference in the the quality (i.e. more silver content) of the wire. I've got both Silver 7 & 8 and the major difference for me is the 8 being more pliable. Can't compare head-to-head as the 8's are XLR and the 7's are RCA.

Each successive Series of WW Cables provides noticeably, and repeatable improvements in sound quality.

This is further evidenced by new patents, Worldwide acclaim and increased demand. As of this writing Platinum Eclipse 8 has been back-ordered for the last 4 weeks.
