Pass Labs Class A amps = Fluid Music Delivery ...
 

I've trying to characterize what I am hearing with the Pass Labs XA100.5 amps and I think I've found it. There's a flow to the music that's less nervous than my 911's. The music seems so effortless. My TAD CR-1's probably never sounded so good. :music:

Great to hear, Joe. I bet the all Pass amplification sure does do a great job.

High musicality means fluid to me. Lack of tension. Stressless. While keeping high levels of dynamics.

Joe, effortless music reproduction is a cool thing once you hear it within a setup. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts when you move the Pass amps to the C1's.

I think the new avatar is representative of the heat his Pass amps put out.

Well, I have to be honest. I've had a few coronal mass ejections of my own :naughty:

They do get warm, but at least there are no tubes to change.

Just for FWIW, I haven't worn out any tubes in any of my tube gear yet...

It is a beautiful avatar Joe, no matter why you chose it !

Thank you Jerome. I saw a web link to 28 space/science photos and was floored how beautiful they looked. This was one of them. It's mind boggling to realize what is out there.

It's one of life's little bonuses :D

Especially when you realize that most of what's out there we can't see...

Absolutely. Voyager is just now reaching what they think is the edge of our solar system. Curious to see what's next.

The XA100.5's are wonderful amps. They run warm but it's not a deal breaker. Big, wide sound stage. The music just seems a little easier through these amps but the bass is deep, maybe a tiny bit puffy, but full. Very unlike many amps I've heard.
