Best looking gear - your thoughts
Starting another thread for the best looking electronics gear.
Doesn't have to be the ultimate statement in performance, just needs industrial design that has got it going on. No wrong answers. I'll start with this piece from Technics: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/06...g?v=1655765974 |
For another kind of look, a Copland tube amplifier:

and one more Scandinavian piece, from Gato. Yes, I am Scandinavian.

Burmester 911 MK3 - I always found their looks timeless, and beautiful.

McIntosh (unless it is knobless), followed by Esoteric & Accuphase. This is based strictly on looks, not SQ (though I'm certainly happy with mine).

I’ll tip my hat to some great radio/ audio industrial designers:
Walter Dorwin Teague https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...rd%2C_1934.jpg Dieter Rams http://prod-upp-image-read.ft.com/b9...f-ea66e967dd44 Mario Bellini https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/c...g?format=1000w You can see echos of Dieter Rams in all of Apple’s designs. The Sparton Bluebird was resigned in the early 30’s. Mario Bellini did some nice work for Yamaha - very unique cassette design for the late 70’s. |
Another favorite of mine:
