Cable Elevators

Are you a believer that getting your cables off the floor help improve things?

If you are, which ones do you use?

I have had cables raised off the floor and have yet to hear a difference. Now it could be that I have only ever had a listening room in the basement where the flooring under the carpet is concrete and in my specific case there is no issues.

My preference would be to go with ceramic or porcelain that look like this:

Attachment 42741

They have some weight to them and are easy to work with.

Even if they do not add to the sound it can help with cable management. Also they look cool.

I've been using wood cable elevators similar to the Cardas, not so much because I think it makes a big difference to get the cables off the floor (floors are wood), but because I have a stretch where I have to run signal and power cables parallel, so I run the power underneath and the speaker cables on top to separate them for noise control.

Has anyone tried these from Mapleshade for running cables along a wall?http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...psu7vgr4km.jpg
