VPI Prime Signature Rose Wood unboxing

10 Attachment(s)
Thanks to Ivan and the wonderful folks at VPI I am the proud owner of a stunning VPI Prime Signature in Brazilian Rose Wood!

I will post pics of the unboxing process and later will add some thoughts on the overall sound.

This is an upgrade from an old Hitachi PS-48 with Denon 103r MC cartridge. So as you can expect the change is massive.

Enough talk, here is some eye candy

Way too early sound impressions:

Basically....holy hell the details!!! Separation between instruments, vocals and that ever wonderful “space between the notes” comes to the forefront. Each album so far has been an experience.
Pure fun with Roundabout from Yes to surreal sounds with the of Radiohead - Kid A.
This is going to be quite a journey re-listening and re-discovering so many musical memories [emoji847]

Also, of special note is the bass presence that was there in the past, but not truly “there” how it should have been. Now when a song is meant to be driven by the kick drum or bassist it really means business. The Prime Signature lets the Cadenza Bronze take over and just sing!
