Mysterious Booms
 

Anyone else notice mysterious booms in your area? Plenty of theories out there and it seems to be happening in many places around the world. I’ve noticed them at all times of day or night. Some nights the loud booms can be heard in quick successions, other times just a single episode. :scratch2:

I haven't heard anything here in Asheville. Being a member of the aerospace community, I would put my money on some sort of supersonic/hypersonic vehicle. There are a number of entities, both government and private, that are currently working to advance technologies in this area.

Once a month or so the gravel pit down the road blasts some rock. Other than that, nope.

There was supposedly an arrest made in Pennsylvania (Bucks County) by the FBI but the booms continue and I am way too far from that place anyway so it’s probably unrelated. These booms have been reported in many places, states, countries.

No booms around here.

It will boom the next couple of days here (heavy metal festival). :D
