Astell&Kern AK240 output help
 

Need some real expert/in depth help...

The original reviews of the Astell & Kern AK240 stated the DSD output was disabled when using the USB or optical outs. From what I’ve read, the AK380 does allow this. All of the ak240 reviews seem to be early test models and I can’t find later reviews after the many software updates. Given that the ak380 does do it, I would assume the ak240 with latest software should also now allow DSD playback through the optical out...can anyone confirm this either way?

Also, while we’re getting technical, does the latest ak240 software allow the use of a larger than 128gb SD card (ak340 stated it will allow up to 2TB card with latest software)
