New MC312 replacing the MC302
The MC312 will replace the MC302, the MC312 will be $7000 retail, $500 higher than the MC302.
The MC302 features the same type of improvements implemented in the MC462, MC611, and MC1.25KW. Improvements on the MC302 are: • Filter capacity doubled • Results in a 27% increase in dynamic headroom from 1.8dB to 2.3dB • Better suited to handle wide dynamic swings • Improves the performance of low end frequencies • The top of the amp showcases updated industrial design features • 2 McIntosh Monogrammed HeatsinksTM replace the old heatsinks • Added Balanced & Unbalanced outputs • Heavier gauge internal wiring • Upgraded circuit components • Addition of our power management system • New front panel direct LED backlighting |

Is there an MC2.1KW on the horizon? :D :D :D
Surely, that's due for an update. |

Not surprised that that there is replacement for MC302 since the MC452, MC601 , MC1.2 were updated this year. Be nice if the MC301 was updated as well.

I'm listening to my system through my old 1.2KW's for the last time tonight. 1.25's are coming in at 10 am tomorrow. What great amps these 1.2's are. I don't know how my new 1.25's could sound any better but I have always wanted a totally updated rack of humongous Mac power amps. Now I will have them and will enjoy them for the next 10 years. May McIntosh live long and prosper.
