Artist Thomas Kinkade has passed away at his home at the young age of 54.

I was very surprised by this news. You just never know, folks...every day is a blessing.

My sympathies go out to his family. RIP Thom.

Shocking and very Sad...

Hopefully his Art will now go up in value. I have some I've been wanting to sell for a long time but most have gone down in price ever since he started putting his art on everything besides toilet paper.

T.K.'s death was a surprise to me. In his earlier years he painted some very nice art. RIP

I was very surprised when I heard he was only 54. He was one of the few artists who must have become famous and profitable at a young age.

A very interesting artist.

I've always loved "Beyond Summer's Gate"

He was indeed a painter of light and has gone into the light much too soon.

Before I started painting again myself, I was collecting a pretty good amount of Thom's work. I have I think 26 of his pieces, I don't have all of them displayed at any one time. Some of them are his holiday theme pieces, others are his general work (mostly of nautical theme) that I rotate with my other regular pieces from time to time.
