Installation Pictures for Other users

Howdy Folks!

Mike from GIK here. I've been mostly absent for a while due to how busy we have gotten over the last several months so I apologize for my disappearing act. I will do my best to check in from time to time to see if anyone is needing any assistance with anything (though you can always reach me directly at mike.m@gikcacoustics.com)

I have a request of all of you: I would love to see some detailed pictures of your GIK panel/trap installations, hopefully with some clear looks at how everything was mounted or even step by step installations. We have a fairly large percentage of customers who have never installed anything like this and even with my Sketchup drawings and descriptions, they don't always understand the procedure to follow.

I think that ceiling and upper corner mounting are the two that are most daunting to our customers. We do offer a Cloud Bracket, but they are not always practical for everyone.

If you have pictures, videos, step by step tips...all of it can be very useful and will help other GIK users to not be so intimidated by the installation process.

I look forward to seeing what you all have to offer!

Will do! I'll take some pics for you tomorrow when I have some light in the room. I'm using the GIK Alpha 4A diffusor/traps.

I have a few pics that I can share as well.

Hi Mike, I tried the email address provided but seems the address isn't valid.... typo maybe?

GIK Acoustics 12-19-2019 11:32 PM

You know what's really awesome about my email address in the first post is that I spelled it incorrectly! This is what happens when you're used to everything being setup all the time...not cool.

Sorry folks.

Here's the corrected email address:

mike.m@gikacoustics.com

I also fixed it in the original post.

You can send your pictures to me if you want but I'm also hoping everyone would post them here so others on this forum can see them as well. It would be a good resource for me to refer clients to.

Sorry for the error!

That was a quick fix! ;)

Here are my pics:

I decided to replace the saw tooth hangers with D-Rings and OOK Hooks to be able to make micro adjustments once they were hung. The hooks can easily adjusted 1-3 mm if they are a bit off of being level. I also made a template to attach the D-Rings in the same place on all panels and I used the template with a laser level to hang them. The entire process was fairly simple and spot on.

Awesome! This is what I'm talking about!

I've installed my Alpha 6As the same way. The sawtooth hangers we include with the panels are fine and certainly strong enough but I prefer the security of the D-Rings on Ook hooks.
