Static on Mat-Vinyl

Since i bought the power conditioner (Isotek evo3 Polaris) that i have some static in the MAT of the turntable (VPI Prime standard mat).

Maybe it is just a coincidence. I have no idea.

I live in a very hot humid place so i have the AC most of the day, but i have been like this for more than 2 years and i never had problem with static.

I have read some comments on internet that the best solution is that "Milty Zerostat 3 Anti-Static Gun"

Any advice from your side?

I control static with a humidifier.

Masterlu, where do you put your humidifier? is it something small like this?

No, mine is a large unit built into the HVAC system.

I had one & sold it -- wasn't a keeper IMO.

I lived in the Philippines and used a dehumidifier as the room air was humid & it helped remove excess moisture.

If in Indonesia the air in your room is dry, a humidifier helps add moisture to the air by releasing water vapor throughout the room to increase the humidity level in your home.

So, depending, I'd try one of the above; one of which will make a difference to your comfort level, not sure about the static level on your mat but probably much better odds than a little pistol.:D

Best sir,

Bob

Static on Mat Vinyl

I thought I smelled like Bleach too. But it did the trick and I immediately conditioned my vinyl too.

Move to south Florida. You won't need a humidifier here.
