mbovaird 10-05-2012 07:29 PM

I'm speechless. Wow. Wow. Wow.

GaryProtein 10-05-2012 07:58 PM

It's just incredible.

I've seen it in person, and it is not to be believed!

KingRT 10-05-2012 08:29 PM

Still Impressive!
I need to redo my room itself. It looks like Ringling Brothers put it together, when I see yours.

djwhog 10-05-2012 08:36 PM

Ivan can you detail why so many amps in the 2 ch system?

again most impressive, can not think of any system in the ENTIRE planet.

Wow and I mean WOW

tweet 10-05-2012 08:50 PM

Incredible. Period.

Dave... All of the 1.2K's & 501's seen in the 2-Channel room are used to power all the channels in the Cape Theater.

Every source seen can be enjoyed in either location as well.

I have been to the Cape and seen and heard these systems. The pictures do not do sufficient justice to the rooms or the rigs. I completely lack the ability to really describe these set-ups, so I will leave it at two analogies. Ivan's equipment closet is designed and wired with the precision of a nuclear sub. And his theater is so realistic that when we were watching Ironman II I thought that something like a train freight car had fallen through the ceiling and landed next to me. (I now measure bass response in HT in "Ivans" and am proud to say that I am up to 1/4 Ivan in mine. :D)

Masterlu 10-06-2012 05:01 PM

Randy... I appreciate your generous words & analogy; but there is that little new system you haven't experienced yet. ;)

So you now have a private invitation, and plenty of time to plan another visit next Spring/Summer.

Intamin 10-06-2012 09:41 PM

I've looked at your rigs countless times, and each time I'm still in awe. Amazing.

PHC1 10-06-2012 11:12 PM

Fantastic!

Avid vs Clearaudio? Your thoughts? :scratch2:

The Avid doesn't have but 20 hours on it, but it does sound fantastic. I have no doubt after it and the Burm 100 phono pre get some more "track time" they will be a force to recon with.

Puma Cat 10-06-2012 11:22 PM

Its..its like...déjà vu, all over again. ;)

I'm not quite done with the Burmester Rig. :naughty:

JohnA 10-07-2012 06:49 AM

never get sick of looking at all your systems

bloody brilliant

Haurock 10-07-2012 07:55 AM

Ivan, your Burmester set-up, is it located in the same place as where the Burmster rig was set-up during the Cape extravaganza? So, you have that rig on one side of the room and on the other side is the SF powered by the Bryston from the back room?

trek737 10-07-2012 08:19 AM

It is still amazing to see! Most people would love to just have one of your rooms. But when you start realizing you have to spend your time between several of these great rooms, it is like you are at an amusement park for audiophile's!

BuffaloBill 10-07-2012 08:57 AM

The very best that man has to offer.

Rock... yes you are correct. ;)

o0OBillO0o 10-07-2012 10:23 AM

What I feel is the greatest achievement is integrating this all into his house. If you look at all the "show me your system" posts they are all a snarly mess of wires with 100lbs amps to stub your toes on.

These are a clean and very good attention to detail type systems. The real and often overlooked focus is power delivery, heat, and room integration. I only hope that many seek to emulate this.

If there was an award for "Best Personal Home System" this would definitely be a winner.

I can't think of an expletive good enough to describe what I am seeing here!

This must be the reference for audiophile heaven!

Ivan, Your Rigs and installations are a beauty to behold, and I hope that Denise and I will one day get to listen to them as well. Your dedication to detail is inspiring, but what impresses me most is your understanding of our hobby. Your understanding is about your, and other members passion for excellence. It has nothing to do with who has the best, but what makes each of us reach for the next level, no matter where that leads us. I can say you have provided a place for those who strive to reach for the best they can afford, without any attitude or negative attitudes about their direction, or systems being exhibited. This is a testament to you and the members of AA. My kudo's to you all, and thanks!
Regards,
Jim
