As the title states. What's the best bay to unmount HDD From Aurender N100H?

I don't want to just pull the cord so to speak.

Are you talking about disconnecting an external HDD or simply turning the unit off properly?

Disconnecting the hard drive from the N100H.

Disconnecting it from your network so it can’t be seen, or physically removing it from the unit?

Paul.......Removing the hard drive from an Aurender N100H is relatively easy but you will most likely be voiding your warranty. Are you planning to install a 4TB hard drive in place of the 2TB hard drive?

No...No...Dan...I want to unmount the external Hard Drive that I have hooked up to the N100H USB port.

Paul

USB devices are "hot swappable" so when the transfer is complete and you verify all the files are on the Aurender then just unplug the cable from the Aurender.

Thank Jack, I wasn't sure. There are times when I pull out a thumb drive without unmounting it I usually get an pop up error message for improper removal.

Paul.......Okay, got it. Jack nailed it.
