Slp 98p
 

Hey all. I know this is Dennis's forum now ... but I had what I think is a power supply go on my 98p. No light no nuthin. Just stopped mid music while I was out of the room.

So if I send it to Cary - maybe I will look into upgrades. Any recommendations ?

Yes. Have it totally recapped. I'm very pleased very the change to Clarity MR coupling caps in my SLI-80. If your SLP-98P has reached the point in its life that one cap has gone it makes sense to change them all (to save having to ship back again when the next cap goes in another year if nothing else).

yeah, be sure to ask for Steve. I got my head chewed off and apologized for reaching out to Marc today, they are pretty busy right now getting production out. You might wanna inquire about the latest caps...I have the newer Jensen oils in the SLP98 right now BUT loving the latest Mundorf Silver-Golds in my V12R amp I just updated. Breaking them in tonight at 20 hours, sounds amazing. Kinda wondering about putting them in my SLP-98 now.
