Memory update, brief comparison, etc

I have backed off twice a day everyday listening and posted something on this, but not enough to not have the recent power cables upgrades to breech 120 listening hours and that also includes 2 trips away from home.

I even updated the PS Audio Memory Transport software last night and the system is killing it, and is why I’m posting with the PS forum.

Very musical, soundstage and very defined coming from behind the speakers, Jagger has never sounded so good belting out Sympathy For the Devil on the Stones not so perfect recordings whether SACD disc or FLAC downloads.

I compared by clicking the remote options of AES/I2S on the DAC remote using the sources of the N10 (AES) against the M/Player SACD (I2S) playing this and other songs last night, they both have something to offer. The SACD does have more detail in the mid's and highs but the N10 makes it warmer sounding from high to low. (Direct Stream is previously updated to latest firmware)

I did not do any MQA testing, and it’s not 100% in my system since the PS only unfolds in full with the Bridge II and I need to run this through MConnect using the Mac Mini to obtain this which against the Aurender is not as robust. And truly, not sure I care. I’ll play what I want, when and how I want and if I like it, the volume kicks up, if I don’t, simply choose a new source or song.

All the system parts have now equaled the whole. My system is very resolving and I like having the option to go back and forth between the disc and streamer.

Is Vinyl in the cards as I pondered later this year, maybe?

Anyway, there you have it, a morning burst of words to banter and comment, Happy Listening!

Ed,
Happy to see all the changes you've made over the last 9 months coming together for you so that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I'd love to hear your system sometime. Happy listening!
