Signal bleeding down LS-25 Mk2 even with volume all the way down

Hello Everyone, I wanted to get your opinion on a problem with my LS25 MK2 where the signal is somehow bleeding through even with the volume all the way down.
I’ve had this unit since new, nearly 20 years, recently it was serviced by AR in MN, where they replace the tubes, after I received the unit back signal was coming through even with all the way down. My unit did not bleed prior to service.
According to AR this is pretty normal, in order to totally make it quiet I need to flip the mute switch.
I would like to ask those of you who had a LS25 or similar AR preamps in the past ever had a similar issue, how did you deal with it.
Thank you in advance
Steve

My LS25MkII does exactly the same thing. When I need dead quiet, I mute it.
