Upgrade suggestions.The next step.

I am looking for suggestions on my next upgrade.
I think my current preamp a Cary 03 might be my weakest link.
I have a Esoteric A-2 amp.
Esoteric K-03X
Esoteric G-02x
Cary Slp-03 preamp
Magnepan 3.7
Linn streamer.
I was thinking along the lines of Esoteric Preamp
Or maybe the Cary Slp-05.
Asthetic Calipso
Ayre?
Must be Sub 10,000.
Or maybe speakers, auditions are tuff to arrange due to my local.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The Cary Pre will be your weakest link IMO.

How do you like your Cary Slp-05?
I do like the looks of them.

It is much better than the 98, I will compare it to the ARC 5se soon.

The cool thing is the ease of tube rolling... adds different flavors of sound.

Esoteric C-03Xs... there is tremendous synergy to be gained staying with all Esoteric.

Yes, it will be under your budget. ;)

I've also heard the Esoteric pre's (several models/iterations) between Ivan's house and RMAF over the years.

Plus, like I was telling you recently, when I went to all Audio Research, I think it just hit me that generally speaking it's a good idea to keep your pre/power amps the same brand. That way you are reinforcing whatever "house sound" you like.
