The MCD350 is exclusively a SACD/CD player with no digital inputs and no variable outputs. Strictly a disc player.

Seems like a poor choice in this day and age.

And something like this looks somewhat interesting to me. Does anyone know the price and what DAC chip is being used for the SACD?

Randy

If you want to spend that kind of money get an Esoteric. It is using whatever DAC chip their OEM is using and less than the W4S or the Benchmark. The case and the guts are two different things.

USD 4,500 according to What Hi-Fi

Which Esoteric retails at $4500? Just curious...

Crap, and I really need to replace my ancient Adcom DVD player that I have been using as a CD player. Why? Why do they do this to me? Good thing I bought a very comfortable couch years ago :)
