Will release in Sep! :banana::banana::banana:
Will DC950 support DSD and 32/192 data through usb/AES:scratch2: |
Why the 7-segment displays like 70's calculator on such expensive machine..
It has to be the same reason they do this on. C2850. To improve visibility. But this stop DP950 from showing song names on SACD or some CD. But I can't read it on DP900 anyway, also Esoteric cannot display song names as well. Toga |

DC-950 vs DC-901:
Total harmonic distortion DC-950: 0.000045%, DC-901: 0.0005% Signal to noise Ratio DC-950: 122dB, DC-901: 120dB Dynamic range DC-950: 119dB, DC-901: 117dB DP-950 display with larger digits; but no more CD-Text display DC-950 display with larger digits now also showing input frequencies (as DC-37) DC-950 no more EXT DSP function and connectors (because of higher possible sampling frequencies?) Sampling frequencies yet unclear IMHO there may be a clearly audible difference. Whether this difference is worth the price remains a subjective decision. Martin |
They are just a tiny bit more expensive than 900/901. Not that bad.
What is bad is resale value of 900/901. I have 3 options in mind for 900/901 replacement. 1. Esoteric P02X,D02X and clock 2. DP950/DC950 3. Burmester 069+external power supply. <.--- i doubt how well it comete will more modern unit. A better spec of 950 is mostly from ES9038Pro vs ES9018 of the old. Toga |
Toga,
What about dCS, MSB? |

DAC is very expensive, unaffordable. Toga |
I hope the "no EXT DSP" is not a signal of Accuphase phasing out the "DG" series evolution.
That would be very bad, in my opinion. On the positive side, I now can finally get a DC-901. I was waiting knowing that a replacement was due shortly, but the EXT DSP is mandatory to me. |
