Harbeth's

Nice review. Harbeth's seem to get strong reviews across the boards.
I am tempted to go listen to some soon.

Any experiences here on AA??

Very beautiful midrange.
But very coloured.
I know they are designed that way, but the enclosure is playing along too much for me.
I like a more transparent and pure sound.

Showed with magnum dynalab electronics yesterday at Munich. I loved them - plenty of warm mid range in that room. No fatigue whatsoever, but definitely colored as some have mentioned.

Harbeths

Thanks for the comments!
I have a read up a bit on them. Very classic look of course; won't easily be confused with Wilsons.
Their long-time designer, Alan Shaw, prizes accurate voice reproduction over everything else and likes thin-walled cabinets. Not sure I understand that second part, but his designs are very well-regarded by most. I get the impression that Harbeths tend to sound good at low volume levels, and this could be important for my intended use.
