New F112 V2 inbound. What cable to use ?

I'm new to the forum and have really been learning a lot since joining.

I just purchased a F112 V2 and I'm wondering what I should use to connect it ?

I have a long RCA cable that I was using with current sub, but after spending what this sub cost I'd like to make sure I'm getting everything I can out of it.

Should I purchase a XLR cable to or should I be ok with a RCA ?

I figured the XLR may not be needed since the sub is self powered and all that's being transmitted is the signal ?

The distance from my receiver to the sub is 20 ft.

Thanks

I suggest an XLR cable, too . . . but I think you can save money and get one made up by a pro audio shop with Mogami or Gotham mic cable (as widely used in quality professional recording). Since the sub reproduces only below 100 Hz at max -- probably 80 Hz or 60 Hz in a system with large main speakers -- I would not spend on a heavily advertised cable. Buy wine, whiskey, or concert tickets, instead!

P.S. Congratulations on the great sub! I surely enjoy my pair of F112v1. And welcome to AA!

My dealer said that JL Audio's F112/F113's are designed around using XLR cables, will work with RCA's, but in my case, I had RCA's around and used them while I was waiting for the Wireworld cables to arrive, once they did, they did sound a slight bit more "detailed".

Enjoy!
