Thank you for the comments. The room treatments I used are from Vicoustic Multifuser DC2 and Super Bass Extreme. They really help to improve sonically and visually.

Thanks

My 800 D3s sit near the glass boundary wall of a room 20’ x 22’ with a step up about 10’ from the speakers. I’d post a photo but find that the forum has disabled photos?

I order a pair 800 d3 at the first week this year, but still they don't know when they come to my house . so strange ? they told England is still busy with my speakers.
i stay in the Nederlands so not too far from England. so i have to wait maybe more than a month. |
i have the 800 d3 at home i was waiting 6 weeks ,the bass is not to much.sounds is very good ,only i use for the mean time a Denon A1se 179 watts , yes i need a more powerful amp. 600 till 1000 watts , but not have the money yet. they told i must be careful for clipping ,so i not use to much power and stay save.

Without breaking the bank, have a look at the Arcam PA240s which have just been released. It’s not a Dan DAgostino but I’ve always found Arcam Class G complements B&W well. 2000 pounds gets you 225W into 8 and 390W into 4. Switch to mono and you get 790W into 8. Gives you 50W of Class A. And doesn’t run hot.
The B&Ws get better and better bass control the more power you give it. Even if you don’t need to play loud. I still think the Ref6/Dan amps are magic with the 800s. But the Denon needs to go before the 800D3s will shine. |
