Luxman C-700u / C-900u
 

I have a Luxman C-700u preamp (with a DA-06) on home audition, and was wondering if anyone have compared it to the C-900u.

Theres really not alot of information about either Luxman products.

The C900 is aprox. twice the amount of the C700, and even with dealer demo-discounts we're still talking top-dollar, where alot of great preamps can be had..
If you own a C900 what did you match it against?

It would replace a Mcintosh C2500 in my system, going into an ATI 6003 amp.

The C700 sounds very good indeed, which left me wondering...

Any info is much appreciated.

I own the Luxman C-900u and find it to be of true reference caliber. It excels at recreating a sense of natural spaciousness and musical texture that is rarely experienced with most gear, and even more rare with solid state electronics. As a Luxman owner you already know that its build quality and ergonomic design is beyond reproach and exudes true pride of ownership. You can see some professional reviews of it referenced here.
