PC's latest model...Jaguar XKSS

Got another nice model this week: the 1956 Jaguar XKSS that was owned by Steve McQueen. 1:18 scale die-cast by Auto Art.

Stephen.......You are a master at lighting as well as capturing the photo. It is always a pleasure to see your work.

Stephen,

Great picture!

So when will you be purchasing the full size version? Soon? ;)

I always enjoy seeing new photos you bring to the forum. Thanks!

Thanks, Dan. It's fun lighting these. If you saw my set up, you would laugh. I'm using a beat to hell old Canon 550Ex speedlite shooting through a Lastolite EzyBox speedlite softbox.

I sent some photos of the Steve McQueen Porsche 908 pics to Replicarz and they asked if I was available to do some product photography! ;)

Here's a couple others, including one showing some engine detail.

Stephen.......Your stills are beautiful. Also impressive are the Replicarz models.

Thanks, Dan. These models are actually made by Auto Art; Replicarz is a retail web site, though they do make their own Indy Car models. The AutoArt models are very nice for the price (around $130-$245, depending on the model) and all die-cast. Their paint, in particular, is absolutely gorgeous. Better than the paint on most real cars.
