Furniture that holds the x250.5?

I currently keep my system in a closet directly behind the wall my speakers and tv are on. I'll be moving soon and most likely won't have the convenience of a closet in the perfect location.

If I get an enclosed (doors close on the front) stand for my tv (on top) to hold gear inside, who makes furniture that the x250.5 will actually fit in (without causing a fire)?

If you must have doors, check out Performance Furniture.com

I have that amp. It's biased for class A operation for the first few watts so it runs hot all the time. At idle it consumes 350 W and gets hotter as you crack up the volume. Just be aware of that if you want to put it in an enclosed space.

It's somewhat of a nit, but Pass says 300w for the X250.5...

Interesting.

The owner's manual I have from Pass Labs says 350 W at idle and 1000 W maximum. The point is this amp gets hot just sitting there with no inputs (25 degrees Celsius above ambient at idle)

Thanks, but those look like a pass amp 1) wouldn't fit and 2) would end up in flames

are there any measurements on shelf size, weight capacity, etc?

Call and talk to Steve, the shelves can easily hold 200lbs. He makes the deepest audio furniture I know of 24"+
