B80 mk2?
So I saw some Burmester news that came out of the Munich High End in May but apparently I missed this little bit. It looks like the B80 is moving to a Mk 2 version. Does anyone know what the changes are, when the new version will be available, whether upgrades to existing units can be done in the field vs. sent back to the factory and any estimates on what such upgrading will cost? Also, if anyone heard the new version at the show and has also heard the original, I'd love your feedback on any real world changes you noticed. Thanks!

Hi.
I own the B80 and I asked information directly to Burmester. I confirm that exists the new version MK2. The components are indentically the same with first version. The changes are relating some revision in the crossover network (improvent of bass frequencies) and a new wave guide for the ribbon tw. I didn't listened yet the B80 MkII. |
Rocco,
Do you know how much the upgrade will cost and will you have to send them back to Germany for the upgrade? Thank you. Jeff |

I don't know how much will be the cost. For the modification I think that It will be carried out directly in Berlin. |
I'll know later today as Robb Neimann from Burmester will be here.
