Show Us Your Bicycles!!

2 Attachment(s)
For those of us that nurture obsessions other than audio of the two wheeled human powered variety, show us your bikes! Mine are below, my Indy Fab Club Racer (with Chris King hubs and Campy Record) and my commuter, a Soma Pescadero (with lots of parts I took off the Indy Fab, including some old Chris King hubs). Yes, I'm a steel frame fan ... and, no, I don't care for clip in peddles.

Hopeful that Dan can come in here with some magic and straighten out these photos. Many thanks in advance.

This is my fatbike, a Surly Wednesday (Pugsley's sister).
4130 steel frame, 4.8" tires running < 10 psi.
On the Monarch Crest Trail near Salida, CO.
It's the monster truck of mountain bikes, just point and go!

This is me on my Trek Madone. Carbon fiber frame and Ultegra components. It's under 20 lbs.
Pic was taken last Saturday on the West side of Wolf Creek Pass. I just did Bicycle Tour of Colorado. 450+ miles and over 21,000 feet of climbing. It was a great ride through Colorado's San Luis Valley.

Nice Tom -- didn't think that was MN. Especially like your Fat bike.

Best sir,

Bob

Wow - can you ride that fat bike on the snow?

Weirdcuba 06-26-2017 09:22 AM

Beautiful riding through Colorado. Nothing like that on my way to work through downtown Atlanta this morning.

WC - love your Club Racer! Definitely a beauty. Is that a Brooks saddle?

On this trip, I especially liked the area around Chama, NM and the trip from Gunnison on Colorado 114 to Sagauche. Just beautiful.

Yep, the fatty loves to run on snow. It still sinks in powder but will run fine on pack.

Bob - we've moved to Colorado! Still have our lake home in Wisconsin.

Yep, it's a Brooks. This is my third over the years, with the second one having been stolen. I put a cheapo plastic imitation on my commuter, which is fine, since I don't spend too long in that saddle.

The seat on my carbon bike is more like an axe head! I am restoring my Austro Daimler bike and want to get a Brooks saddle. By first decent bike was a Schwinn Super Sport that came with a Brooks saddle. It formed to the shape of my sit bones and was very comfortable.

I have two. A green steel Genesis borough hybrid with quality Alex rims and Shimano hydraulic disk brakes for commuting/shopping etc ( got it two years ago before they downgraded the model's rims and brakes), and a hand built m-m lightweight steel from the Italian firm Dedacciai with Campy chorus and Zonda wheels which I've had for about 6 years. Except for tires, all original equipment. It weigh's 18.7 pounds, which ain't bad for steel. The hybrid gives me a nice workout getting it out of the shed, but zim's along very nicely.
