Aerial 7T Placement
How far are your Aerial 7ts from the front wall?
|
what is the dimension of the room ? and how far you seating position ?
|
Mine are 2.5' feet from the front wall.

My room is 20' x 26', the speakers are 50" from the front wall, 8' 4" apart, 56" from the sidewalls, and I sit 11' away. Suggestions?

also you can try 10-11' apart with toe-in to your seating position or little wider if you liked :music: :scratch2: |
How do I prevent the image from moving when I move my head slightly? I do I get a tight/focused image?

I emailed Michael Kelly a while back asking about placement advice for my 7T's. He replied that every room and speaker placement is different, but made a general suggestion - place speakers 7-feet apart (less if listening closer / more if further back). Toe-in aimed at a point 3-feet behind listener's head (more toe-in for close or reflective side walls / less toe-in for less reflective or greater distance to side walls). These are just starting points as there are many other things that can influence the sound (carpet, furniture, etc.). Invite a friend over for dinner and have them move the speakers while you listen.

My conversations with Michael Kelly led me to believe that less toe-in will accentuate the wide dispersion characteristics of these speakers, allowing you to sit off-centerline and still enjoy a very holographic, rich and full sound.
I've experimented with my Aerial 8s and find that less toe-in works well for my room and its acoustics. |
