Heard magico for the first time and...

was flat out impressed. listening to magico s3 and constellation amp and pre's.
nice cohesive sound from top to bottom. highs where impressive with no brightness. bass was nice tight. my fav so far. only thing that has wowed me more was the SF lilium.

Yeah but... Everything sounds great with constellation gear. Look at the price tag!

I use MSB S200 amp with my S3s (after auditioning Constellation gear) and believe it's a great combination of accuracy, transparency, and musicality.

Magico sounded great to me as well............my first time hearing them was a few years ago......The S5 were hooked up to a Burmester 911 and a 111 Musiccenter which helped convey a pure 2 ch bliss experience . The Fit N Finish was beautiful in orange!....a speaker i could easily live with indeed!

Constellation makes a line called Inspiration that uses some of the circuit designs of the higher-priced lines, while using fewer and/or some lower-priced components. The sound is reported to be quite good, very Constellation-like. I have not personally heard these, but it may be a way to enjoy the Constellation sound at a more down-to-earth price. Ted.

+1

I'm using the MSB M202 monos, which sound very similar to S200 on my Magicos S5, and found this combination outstanding.

To be honest, you could use an AVR to power your S3 and they would still sound fabulous.
