Dennis is making a wider range of amps...all excellent but different.

Mine is single ended & triode wired. 3 watts with 6V6's 10-12 watts with KT88's.

Are all his amp triode? Some look like they could be a pentode. Makes no difference to me, if it sounds good, it sounds good

Most are pentode, though you could ask for triode.

Cool, thank you. In a couple months I'll have to pick his brain and figure out what will work best for my application. I think both will sound good, just need to figure out what will best suit my needs

If I can recomend leaving in your budget room for one of his preamps, the synergy is amazing. And to be honest are really the star of the show in my opinion.

My two cents

I'm in the long process of building a 5 way horn, active horn monster so I'll at least need 3, maybe 5.

I do currently have a tube pre canary ca-900 and 3 classe amps

Agree on the first part.

My pentode wired KT88 amp is 10-12 watts. :scratch2:

A 5AR4 should give 12 watts, 5U4 should give 10.

Something is not adding up. There must be a power penalty for strapping as a Triode ... If the Triode-strapped KT-88 Inspire SET is 10+ watts, then I believe (depending on the ancillary tube complement) the Pentode w/KT-88 is more like 13-16 watts, and the PSE takes it to 20+ watts in Triode. :scratch2:
