Streamer/transport to DC-37. USB or coaxial?

A question for DC-37 owners:
Do you prefer USB, coaxial (or maybe TOS) for connecting your transport?
I myself use USB for connecting an Auralic Aries to DC-37 as I have a pretty good USB cable on hand and not a good coaxial one. I presumed that this is the best option (besides HS-link). Now I ran into some topics on the web where I read that USB implementation on DC37 is less than stellar and we should use the coaxial.
Any opinions on this?

I agree on your assessment on USB. It provides input up to 384 kHz (16 bis 32 Bit 2-Kanal PCM) and 2,8224 MHz, 5,6448 MHz (1-Bit 2-Kanal DSD). Coax is much more limited.

On paper!
But if the USB implementation is poor, maybe the Coax sounds better (?!)
That's why we need opinions from peoplewho tried them both.

I'm using USB for my Aries and the two DC-37 coax inputs for TV and an Oppo 203 UHDP. USB plays all my HiRes formats, Oppo and Tv provide lower resolutions. I didn't recognize that coax sounds better or worse than USB.

Thank you. Great! that's good to know.

OP, you have cables for both type of connection. Please listen to both and report back

@terrycym
Actually, I have a very good USB cable and a cheap coaxial, so the comparison is not fair at this moment.
But I'll try to borrow a reference coax and for sure I'll report back.

Streamer/transport to DC-37. USB or coaxial?

I stream with USB from the Melco and coax from my Mac mini. Although, I will say when I have tried to usb from my Mac mini it did not sound as good as the coax, so I use a usb to coax converter (music fidelity v-link). This works out great since the DC-37 only has one USB input. I use optical for all my other inputs.

My only complaint of the DC-37 it has no remote. Even my Chord Hugo 2 has a remote.

Thank you, @Harris4crna.

With a remote control from an Accuphase CDP you can switch the inputs and the level of the DC-37.
