Tri Center Channel Speaker
Tri Center
Anyone heard this? I am seriously interested in trying this . I have 2 channels on my MC207 that I am not using , this might make for a amazing center. My screen is 120 inches and I am wondering if this would make the center channel sound too wide? |
David, whatever you decide on, try to tonally match the L, R and Center speakers as closely as possible in your theater.

Serge I thought the tri center made by magnepan would be a good match for my magnepan MG 3 a's ? What intrigues me is having a center channel speaker that engulfs the screen by having a speaker panel on either side of the screen plus one underneath . Any comment s appreciated.

I wonder what kind of power they can handle? You have a pretty spacious room that needs to get filled with sound during movie watching, be sure you are not going to blow them up. :D

I wouldn't want a tri-center channel surrounding my screen.

David, I think you're a little tight on space on the sides...Bill talked about moving the L & R closer, perhaps, and I think they would obscure the sides of the tri??? I don't know anything about this speaker, but I'm assuming this would be in addition to your existing Maggies?

Lobbing effects? Comb filtering? Disturbance of triple-mono waves? ...Dunno, you can try and hear what you think. :)
* Do large Cinema Theaters (like IMAX for example) use more than one Center channel speaker? |
