Hats off to Wireworld Cables

My new Wireworld power cords arrived a couple weeks ago. Just got back from a business trip. First thing I did was fire up the system, it sounded pretty good. Listened for about an hour. Went ahead and installed the power cords for each of my components. All that I can say is nice upgrade. Both my GF and I agree that the system sounds more crisp with the lower end sounding slightly better.

Adding quality power cords to your system.

I would say the most noticable difference with the WW Silv Ecl PC's was the bass - for me it was far more dramatic.

I will post a full review on the WW Platinum series along with some cool pics soon.

David Salz is coming back for a 2nd demo.

Ok. I'm biting! I'm still using stock power cords. I have two dedicated 20 amp circuits, with hospital grade connectors feeding two Furman PST-10D power conditioners. We all know that the wire your house is wired with is poor quality, and the wire feeding your home is poor quality. I have provided a reasonably unrestricted pipeline to my components, and have protected them against surges, spikes and noise. Is there really an advantage in upgrading one's power cords under my circumstances? I currently have my amps, preamps and sources divided as equally as possible between the two circuits, to divide demand. Everything is plugged into the Furmans.:scratch2: Ted.

You really need to let your ears decide for you. Everyone that has tried the Wireworld Silver Eclipse power cords never returns them to me.

Well, after spending over an hour on the phone last night with Dan, he seemed pleased with the power cables. Coming from a background of Electrical Contracting he was a huge pessimist like myself. He really thought these cables would be returned but was blindsided after doing an A/B comparison. I too have spent 25+ years in the Electrical Contracting and he now has me thinking about these cables. :scratch2: Or has Dan been retired long enough to forget his electrical training? :D Dan, not sure my visit to your house will be conducive to my checkbook balance. :D

Im saving up for those myself. I already changed over to xlr from rca, time for new power cables.

How do you like them?

John.......The electrical contracting business can turn a sane man into a maniac in no time at all, as I am sure you know. Our training through the years has taught us to be skeptical of things unseen, and to be ever vigilant. I had a mind set about after market power cables that kept me convinced that there was no way the last six feet of ANY cable between the wall outlet and an amplifier could make an audible difference. You can always spot the skeptics. They're the ones with their arms crossed on their chest, leaning back slightly, with a facial expression that says, Yea, right! Until I had the opportunity to audition the Wireworld Silver Electra Power Cable I was your classic skeptic.
I swapped out the factory power cords on my pair of MC501 amps to the Silver Electra power cables, all the while telling myself this is all BS, and I wasn't going to hear a thing. Then the music began to play. My first reaction was, "Where the heck was that extra degree of bass timbre coming from?" The bottom two octaves tightened up in a manner that was immediately audiable, and extremely pleasant. I honestly could not believe it, so back on went the stock power cords. Guess what? The special texture of the bass tones, the woody timber of the acoustic bass was deminished. The bass was still good, but the improvements I had just experienced with the Wireworld Silver Electra power cords was absent. So, back on with the Silver Electra power cables, and back into my system came the texture and timbre that I had never heard before. Holly molly, these damn power cords actually work, and sound great. Damn it, now I was going to have to buy them. I went from complete skeptic, to enthusiastic believer in a matter of two hours. I now have the 2 meter Wireworld Silver Electra power cables on two MC501's and one MC352, the C1000C, MS750, two MCD500's, C2300, XLS112 sub, and a JBL LSR6312SP sub. I am going to add one more Silver Electra power cord to my new PS Audio Power Plant Premier.

I won't pretend that I completely understand the science, engineering or proprietary materials used to manufacture these power cables. What I can say is they improved my sound system enough to make the investment, and feel it is worthwhile. The amplifiers seemed to show the largest improvement in sound, and that improvement alone convinced me that every source component would also benefit from these power cords.

Do yourself a favor. Put the Wireworld Silver Electra power cord on your amp. It won't take long to decide if you like it or not. My guess is you will keep it.
