Picture Hanger Holder/Helper.

When it comes to hanging pictures, it can be a real PITA - but once properly located, really does a lot for the wall, room and the picture too.

So, I decided there has to be an easier way than locating it on the wall, having a second person say left/right/higher/lower, and then marking the location sort of haphazardly.

I came up with this:

**A 2 inch wide x 1 inch thick piece of scrap lumber that is approximately 36 inches long.

** drill or manually screw a 2 inch long Philips headed screw thru the lumber, and have it piercing approx. 1/4 inch thru. This leaves approx. 1/2 inch at the Philips headed end.

**Place the picture equipped with wire onto the Philips end of the screw. Holding the piece of wood against the wall with the picture attached to the Philips end of the screw, have the 2d person tell you the location to go to -- i.e., left/right/up/down. Balance the picture and be careful to not make extreme quick moves. Go slow.

**Once the location is determined, have the 2d person remove the picture from the wooden picture holder/helper.

**With the picture removed, and the picture helper/holder still against the wall, tap the end with the Philips screw into the wall with your hand. This will leave a mark for the picture hanger.

**Mount the picture hanger on that mark, hang the picture, adjusting for levelness.

Done. Perfect.

Best Sirs,

Bob
