Dave's aka. Davkj's Listening Room
I always wanted a dedicated space to set up a nice system. The only available space was the family room that my wife and I rarely used. It was rarely used because, well, it needed some work.
It started earlier this year looking like this... http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...re-remodel.jpg After adding a layer of drywall and GreenGlue, having a cabinetmaker panel the fireplace, refinishing the floors, trimwork, etc....it ended up like this... http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0698.jpg http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0723.jpg Gear... http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0704.jpg http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0710.jpg http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0711.jpg http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0721.jpg http://www.audioaficionado.org/membe...ingrm-0719.jpg Things are still in progress. The room needs some additional treatment and decor items and I'm still working on finding a preamp and DAC I like. Thanks to everyone here for their assistance in helping me get to this point. It's pretty intimidating to post this given the fantastic systems that so many members have posted, but I hope this will encourage others to post their "modest" systems. |

Nothing modest about that system or the room.In fact it looks to be one of the most tasteful rooms I have seen on this site.Acoustically the room looks as though it would be very good.
Could you comment on how you went through the room treatment process? Thanks. |
Dave... You have done a terrific job remodeling, and should be very proud. Great gear too!
