Scale of the Sonus Faber
I never realized how big the Sonus Faber was until I saw this picture posted on another forum.
http://nuke.nonsoloaudiofili.com/Por.../Fenice/30.JPG They simply dwarf the Elipsa and gives a sense of scale. Truly impressive how massive they are. |
Georges... at about 15x the price, they dwarf the cost too! :D

Thats a whole orchestra in a box. :smoking: Considering the Strads filled a huuuge open room effortlessly at my local dealers place with scale that was very impressive, I wonder what size room the designers had in mind for this Goliath of a speaker.

You absolutely need the room! I already thought that my Elipsa were oversized for my room but this picture put things in context.

My hifi buddy and neighbor has a pair of The Sonus Faber (no 27 of 30 made). They play beautifully in a 650 sqf room.

Cool picture! Never seen them other than in pictures. They are probably also bigger than the Aida’s! By a measure.

Here is another picture. http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l...o/_49U0389.jpg This pictures above shows The Songs Faber, Amati Futura and Toy. and one more http://i331.photobucket.com/albums/l.../file-1192.jpg Yes, they are big. The Aida's are big as well but side by side they look skinny. |
What is the difference between Amati Futura and the Sonus Faber? Any picture of then next to the Aida?
