Magnum Dynalab MD107t and MD108t being considered
Magnum Dynalab tuners have always captured my interest. They have a solid reputation for building ultra sensitive, wide dynamic range tuners that are very musical in their presentation. For years I have combed the used audio sites, always checking to see if there is a Magnum Dynalab tuner for sale. You don't see many being sold in the used market. This tells me most Magnum Dynalab owners are pleased with their tuners. Currently there are two Magnum Dynalab tuners that pique my interest, the MD107t and the MD108t.
Any comments from owners about either of these two Magnum Dynalab tuners would be appreciated. http://www.audiofreaks.co.uk/images/2010-05-MD-107.jpg http://www.magnumdynalab.com/images/...108t-large.jpg |
Dan, I have the 107t and am extremely happy with it. Sound quality is excellent and reception is great.
The magic eye feature really helps when tuning in stations, especially with weaker signals. Larry at Magnum is easy to deal with and I believe they still have a trade in program so you might be able to get a good price on a refurbished unit when you purchase directly from the factory. |
J.J. .......Thank you. What antenna are you using with your MD107t? Is yours the silver or black version?

You barely notice it's there. As I live in the middle of the city my reception is good and I pick up many good stations. I bought the black version because my previous gear was black but am now thinking about changing the faceplate to silver to match my dac. As you know the rest of my gear is green and Magnum has yet to offer a green option. HaHa |
