Dj....Very nice, and all in mint condition to boot!
I have a few Denons, 1650AR still under 100 hours, CDR-W1500 3-years old, and a new DBP-2010CI blu-ray player. Something I need soon is a new digital camera, one of the contacts broke off in the memory card slot of my Olympus :sigh: |
I have a CDR-W1500 too! The DCD-1650ar is a very good sounding CD player.
I recommend a Canon T2i. That's what I used to take these pictures. The manual mode is very good. |
Mike, that is some sweet looking Denon gear. I've had a Denon CD Players in the past, and a couple of their Turntables. I always liked their gear.
|
Mike...that's some sweet looking Denon...btw great pics;)

This is my Denon DVD-2800. I use it in my office as the source for my Musical Fidelity X-Can V8P headphne amp.

Here's my DVD-5910. I love the build quality. It's very heavy.

Mike.......I see that the Denon DVD-5910 provides HDCD decoding. Denon has included that feature in many of their disc players. That is a feature I also liked about my Linn Ikemi CD player.
|
As much as they say that the DACs inside the DVD-5910 are so great, IMO the DCD-1650AR sounds way... better.

This is one of my BEST headphones. ATH-D7000.

Here's my vintage, yet mint Denon DP-55K. It's running a Grace G-707 MK II tone arm while the business end of it has a Benz Micro Ace SH tracking the grooves.

Here's a list of the entire system as it stands today. It doesn't compare to most of the systems I've seen on this forum, but it's a great combination that really works out extremely well. That's a respectable system, what kind of iron did Baldwin use on that amp?
|
Chops-Tube,
Great looking turntable. How long have you had it? I hate to say that I did not even know that Denon made turntables... I have a Denon AVR-3311CI for my down stairs set up with a Panasonic VT25 65" plasma, and some B&W DM601 S2 shelf speakers in my den which I am very happy with. Not really worthy of a photo like that beautiful turn table, but either way thanks for posting a photo... |
Denon PMA-A100
I decided to take my HT back to stereo so I picked up one of these. Credit for the 1st two photos go to Saturday Audio in Chicago where I bought the unit. A really nice little dealer with that old school feel to it. I'm planning on linking it up with a Peachtree iDAC for inputs from my DVR and DVD player.

I managed to find the CD player i was looking for ... the guy i bought the amp from actually upgraded to an Audiolab 8200CD because of the DAC functionality of that player
in the meantime i managed to snag his gorgeous Denon DCD2000AE which matches my new amp perfectly heres the AVLAND UK picture of what the pair looks like together http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...inside4lrg.jpg then i found this image in Google images so once again this is not my stuff but its a random image i found that shows what my stuff looks like http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...atre/denon.jpg and then my poor pics of what my stuff looks like - i will be re-arranging my setup pretty soon especially to try and change the acoustics of my room - hopefully this will make the equipment all sound closer to its full potential http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...atre/combo.jpg |
May as well start with Denon talk
I still own the only 2 Denon components I've ever owned: a DCD-815 CD player in my bedroomium system and a CDR-1500W CD recorder in the main rig. The CDR-1500W quite simply makes the best CD dubs I've heard. The old DCD-815 is from '93 or '94 and while it still works and sounds good, the drawer likes to close on it's own. And I lost the remote. Bummer.
Greetings from South Florida. Since I can't start a thread, this is my first post in this site. Look forward to talking audio with you folks. Ralph |

Denon DRA1025-RA with Celestion 3s
Kinda a throw back to the early / mid 90s.
I have owned the 1025 since new and once owned the Celestion 3s, but never had them in the same system. Recently I was looking for some economical bookshelf speakers to mate with the Denon receiver in a secondary system and remembered how much I enjoyed the Celestion 3s in another system I owned back in the 90s. The opportunity arose to buy a very nice pair of 3s recently and I finally got 'em singin' together this weekend. I have not had a speaker impress me as much as the Celestion 3s. They are by far and away the best bang for the buck audio I have owned. It was fun getting reacquainted with these once again. |
Land Shark... Welcome!
