Depends on what your motivation is, I guess. Why would you want to do this?

And what Marantz are you referring to?

You'll need a hefty integrated if you're still planning on driving those Thiel 3.7s. You probably already know this, but Thiels need a ton of power to really sing.

The main reason would be to reduce clutter, simplify. My main source is my K07 sacd player, once in a while my tuner. I don't like running the sacd player directly into my power amps so a high-quality integrated would have a pre-amp section and provide the sound I prefer hopefully !!!

MA9-S2 mono-blocs and SC7S-2 pre-amp.

If it were me I would never get rid of that awesome Reference gear, Marantz doesn't make anything at that level anymore. It's not me, it's you, and you're considering an all-in-one box to save space. Maybe using a tall single-wide rack would help reduce clutter, if you don't already have one?

Tom.......Find a clean pre-owned McIntosh MA7000. You'll never look back.

Dan I've owned a MA-7000, if I chose to go Mac I might like to try the new MA-8000. I'm also looking at Sim Audio's I600 and I700, Pass Labs INT-150. Who knows, I might decide to keep my Marantz Ref stuff ??? :confused-2:

I want to be as sure as possible, once they're gone that's it. Still weighing my options and looking at gear !!!
