Hello Dan,

Do you have a pic?

I saw it on Audioclassics listed for 66 dollars; it's cheap; are you sure it would work for my C1000 trio? Mine is now sticky, what a pity!;

Thank you in advance.

Jean-Marc.

If that is the one that came with D1100 , now sold it was a nice remote when I had it. I worked well with my C2300 when set to alternate mode.

Jean-Marc.......What is written in my post is exactly what was in the Audio Classics email I received this morning. A quick email to Mike Sastra at Audio Classics, Mike@AudioClassics.com should get any questions you may have answered.

I recently bought one to replace the sticky C2300 remote I had - works like a charm. Although I was able to clean the 'stickiness' off with some elbow grease and alcohol, I like the new remote better. I bought mine directly from McIntosh for $66

Many McIntosh remote controls had a rubbery type coating that made them easy to grip. Unfortunately as time passed many of these coatings began to soften and get sticky. Yuk! The coating can be removed from the remotes by disassembly and aggressive scrubbing the case parts with isopropyl alcohol. I cleaned up my MR88 remote like that and it is now clean smooth plastic. Knowing that there is now a reasonably priced replacement remote control for such a wide variety of McIntosh components is good news. I may buy a couple just to keep in case I have future issues with my C2300, C1000, or MX120 remotes.

Totally agree. The remote I have came with the C1100 and the volume is sticky already.

Just emailed Mike to confirm that it works with the C2300 & shipping cost to New Zealand.

My existing remote has also become very 'sticky'

Cheer.
