Yep, I don't think you'll have any regrets! Current VAC gear sounds absolutely amazing. I had their entry-level Renaissance V line stage in my system a few months ago, and its lifelike midrange made my jaw drop. But in the end I stuck with my (also lovely) REF 6 because I listen to a lot of hard rock & metal. That said, wish I could have tried an "SE" version or a higher model (Master may be a bit too rich for my remaining blood).
I run the VAC Renaissance SE phono stage, which I think is beyond stellar. I also heard the SE vs. non-SE phono; those Jupiter caps and naked resistors really make a difference! |
