Getting a new Audio rack this weekend and demo'ing some Nordost stuff. Dealer and friend are driving down from Milwaukee! Thats where I got the CLX and 212 subs from.

Going to play around with some DACS and Nordost power stuff & interconnects.

Time to sell off the CAR :)

I feel late to the party Tim. You have a very nice system! I think the Sony HAP-Z1SE is a fine sounding media player. You have to spend a lot more to better it’s overall sound and functionality.

Thats how I feel as well on the Sony Hap Z1ES. If one didn't know its only $2K you would think it retailed for much much more. If it could somehow incorporate TIDAL, then WOW...But it can't :(

While at Axpona 2 weeks ago I ran into the Synergistic Research room. Showed a dealer my rig and he was in awe. ;) He has a store in California and sells what I have. Sold me some SR fuses and other things & confidently bragged that with new fuses from SR, the Sony plays along with $30K DACS. Said he knows since he sells BOTH.

Haven't installed them yet. Just arrived last weekend and I have been swamped! But going to perform the operation tonight. Also, got new fuses for the 601 amps as well.

Oh yeah, there is the Tidal issue...

Make sure you insert the fuses in the right direction. ;)

I will be curious if you can discern any changes from the fuses. I went that route with my C2300 and MC2301s and couldn’t tell a thing.

I know...could be a waste of money! :)

I was at Tim's this weekend for some sonic bliss. We helped him switch out his rack, adjust his speakers, set the correct phase for his subs among other things the first day. Then we proceeded to apply various Nordost products one at a time and listened for the sonic effect. Ended up with a DAC from Cary so now he can stream Tidal, decode MQA and play DSD tracks all using the Roon interface. The second day was pretty much just listening to music for many many hours. Tim has a great sounding system and with the new rack it is visually stunning.
